Ordering terms
These are the terms we plan to use when we open in February 2027. They may change before then. The terms that apply to your order will be the ones we send with your quote.
Booking and deposit
We agree the design and specification with you and give you a quote before an order is confirmed. A 20% deposit is required to book your order into our calendar. Your order is not confirmed until we have received the deposit.
We will send you confirmation of the agreed details, including the date, size, flavour, design and total price.
Paying the balance
The remaining balance must be paid by the payment date we agree with you.
Checking your order
Before we start, please check that everything we have recorded is right: the date, cake size, flavour, filling, design, colours, wording, and any allergen or dietary information. Once you have confirmed the details, we treat the specification as agreed.
Changes
Please tell us about any changes as soon as possible. Changes asked for after the order is confirmed may mean an extra charge, particularly where ingredients, decorations or other materials have already been bought. Changes may not be possible once the cake is being prepared or decorated.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel, please tell us as soon as possible. We will confirm our cancellation terms in writing with your quote.
Allergens and dietary needs
You must give us accurate information about any allergies or dietary needs when you place your order. We check allergen information against the ingredients we use.
We take reasonable precautions to prevent cross-contamination. Because the bakery handles a range of ingredients, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Where we cannot safely meet a requirement, we will not accept the order.
Collection and delivery
Collection from the bakery is free of charge.
Delivery is charged at £0.55 per mile. The charge is worked out on the mileage from the bakery to your delivery address and back again. For example, an address 5 miles away is a 10-mile round trip, so £5.50. The delivery charge will be included in your quote. Please make sure someone is available to receive the cake at the agreed address and time.
When you collect your cake, we will advise you on transporting it safely. Whether you collect or we deliver, we will tell you how to store it, how long it can be kept and anything you need to know about serving it. We will also give you the allergen information for your order with your cake.
If we can't complete your order
Abbi is the only baker. If illness means she cannot safely complete your order, we will tell you as soon as we reasonably can and offer you a new collection or delivery date, a full or partial refund, or another solution we both agree.
Food safety always comes first. If an ingredient, decoration, design or request creates a food safety concern, we may need to change the order or decline it.
Photographs
We may photograph finished cakes for our records and for our marketing. If your cake has a name or other personal wording on it, we will ask you before we share a photo. We never share customers' names, faces or addresses without permission. Please tell us if you would prefer us not to share a photo of your cake.
